Meet Piano Teacher – Sarah Lu

Sarah Lu  is a piano teacher and teaches piano and music theory at JumboNote Music School at our locations in Kogarah and Beverly Hills.

Sarah is currently studying at UNSW and has just finished her Associate Degree AMusA in piano studies. Sarah has been playing classical piano since she was 7 years old and had been involved in many eisteddfods and recitals throughout her formative years. Sarah’s passion in music stems from her great interest in the romantic period which includes Chopin and Liszt being her two favourite composers. Sarah’s classical influence has given her great foundation skills to be a versatile musician who is capable of performing and teaching in many different modern genres.

Alongside her great achievements with piano, Sarah also plays flute and has performed in orchestras, and stage bands playing both flute and piano. It’s not only in music that Sarah excels with her impressive resume of achievements… Sarah is also a champion figure ice skater, and has many achievements in ice skating that include

  • Australian Figure Skating Champions for Synchronised Skating Mixed Age Division 1st Place (2015)
  • Australian Figure Skating Champions for Synchronised Skating Novice Division 2nd Place (2014)
  • NSW Ice Skating Australia State Championships 1st Place for Synchronised Skating (2014, 2015)
